The first visits

During the first consultation, the orthodontist will listen to your wants and expectations. There will be a visual clinical examination and  you will be given a considered opinion and any additional questions will be answered.

At this stage it is often possible to give a rough idea of the duration, cost and type of treatment.

If it is too soon to start treatment, the patient will be monitored awaiting the evolution of his denture.

If a treatment is considered necessary and the time is right, we suggest a second appointment to collect the diagnostic records.

We will give you a medical question sheet to complete and an "all about orthodontics"  notice.

The diagnostic records, collected at the practice, and depending on your specific case, include:

> X-rays

> Photographs

> Impressions

After analysing these elements the orthodontist will advise on a treatment plan, the duration and detailed costing, all set out in a contract.

You will be able to make an informed decision about undergoing a treatment.
